The Region IV
student government meeting began at 9:05 at the Holiday Inn in Corpus in the
Long boat room.
Members
present were Austin Community College, 5 delegates and 2 advisors, Blinn
College-Bryan, 8 delegates and 2 advisors, Blinn College-Brenham, 9 delegates
and 1 advisor, McClennan Community College, 12 delegates and 2 advisors, TSTC-Waco,
9 delegates and 2 advisors, WCJC-Main Campus 10 delegates and 1 advisor, Hill
Community College, 4 delegates and 1 advisor, and WCJC-Sugar Land 2 delegates
and 1 advisor. Total of 59 delegates and 12 advisors.
Nick Blaylock moved
to dismiss the minutes from February 26, 2000.
Austin
Community College gave out the Region IV shirts at the cost of $5.00.
The talent show was
scheduled at 10 p.m. Friday night it was suggested that all forms were filled
out before hand.
The offices at state
level included Austin Community College for President and Blinn- Brenham College
for Parliamentarian.
It was suggested for
you wear your Region IV shirts in support for the Region IV schools running for
State Office.
The chant for Region
IV was changed. When the other regions finished their chants, finish with Region
_ upped yours. Then, Region IV, everybody we up ours standard, now up yours.
The committees were
identified and assigned their duties. Those committees were the
bylaws/constitutional and awards.
Make note that the
time changed on the workshops have been changes. Workshop I at 10:30 a.m.,
workshop 2 at 11:30 a.m., free time till 3:00 p.m., workshop 3 at 3:00 p.m. and
workshop 4 at 4:00 pm. if you were involved in a committee, attend that meet
instead of workshop 4. Then, after the workshops followed Region IV meeting at
5:00 p.m. and formal dress for 6:30 pm. meeting. Meeting at the pool at 6:15
before we go to the 6:30 p.m. meeting.
The meeting was
adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
