Welcome everyone to the TJCSGA webpage, I am Nichole Jackson, State Advisor-Elect for the 2010-2011 year. I have volunteered to be SGA advisor for Odessa College for 5 years now and have enjoyed every minute. My full-time position is Chair of the Physical Sciences and Chemistry Instructor but I also love spending time with students outside of the classroom to watch them grow and develop in leadership and character. I have a B.S. and a M.S. in Chemistry from Texas Tech University and plan in the near future to start on my Doctorate (somewhere). I'm a big sports fan and I'm developing a heavy like for playing a round of golf on occasion.
My goal as Advisor-Elect is to encourage and support not only the members of the Executive Board but to encourage all students of TJCSGA. I look forward to a year of great things to come from an organization that wishes to make our communities better.
Duties: The Advisor-Elect of TJCSGA serves a two year term, one as Advisor-Elect and then will become the State Advisor at the conclusion of their first convention. The Advisor-Elect is responsible for contacting new members and assisting the executive board in completing their duties. When called into effect, the Advisor-Elect will serve as an ex officio member of the Judicial Committee.
